Book Review-4-hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss

Few of my friends asked me about books I am reading nowadays. Well instead of typing like a chopsticks hitting the keyboard, probably I could write what I think about this book.

This book deals a lot with life hacks. Many of us will eventually stuck inside a cubicle after getting our first job using our overrated-glorified-important 4.0GPA from [insert top university name here] and work like a cow from 9-5, and we will suffer spiritual death over time until when we are 60+ and hey wait a minute, I wasted a big chunk of my lifetime working for somebody else with a not so fancy paycheck every month and now I am old and I can’t dance like Elvis. It is a book that teaches you escape from the work, be more efficient rather than effective and how to work remotely if you are destined to be an employee for some reason.

It has some nice pieces of advices. For instance, how to persuade your boss to allow you to work remotely, using auto responder for replying emails, outsourcing and even how to skip retarded meetings that last forever. Although some of the advices aren’t original and are debatable, it is still a good book to read before sleep.

It is a practical book. It offers step to step guidance instead of just keeping on motivating with that few single lines throughout the book. Simple and straightforward. No fancy language and I really like his writing style. Take a look!
