Despite many negative comments about rich dad poor dad series, one of my friend borrowed me her book. It is a short book with less than 150pages. Again like other rich dad series, this is a brain wash book. Many people gets very defensive when it comes to brain wash books. But the fact is, we have to keep our mind open, expose more and pick up what make sense to you. We don’t follow any books blindly and this is where our judgement comes in.
One of the main idea is “You can be rich by cutting ur spending, throwing away your black platinum card or eating bread for dinner instead of Crystal Jade but the problem is you are still CHEAP.” I think he is right to a certain extent. I think being frugal is the key. Spend wisely and keeping track where your money goes is the way the rich handle their money. He is right that being frugal alone can hardly get you rich.
He also talks about good debt and bad debt. How he use good debt to pay for his bad debt. It is nice to learn but need you to be very good in picking what is good debt.
In short, it is a good book if you can’t afford the time to read all the books in rich dad series. I would personally recommend Cashflow Quadrant over this book if you have the time.
